"Ozone depletion substances" means substances listed in the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer. The Protocol aims to phase out the production and use of substances like chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), halons and other transitional chemicals.




The indicator aims to evaluate the company’s use of substances that are listed as "ozone-depleting" in the Montreal Protocol on Substances. The measurement of the substances must be conducted in tonnes.

Regulatory Definition

According to the (EU) 2022/1288 of 6 April 2022, the metric is defined as "Tonnes of ozone depletion substances equivalent per million EUR invested, expressed as a weighted average"
