Agrochemicals are substances used in agriculture for crop enhancement and pest control. Pesticides are chemical substances specifically designed to prevent and destroy pests that may harm corps. However, pesticides are found to be environmentall harmful due to their potential exocity, residue accumulation in soil and water as well as impact on non-crop plants and biodiversity.

The indicator aims to evaluate the organization's investments in companies that produce agrochemicals, including pesticides. The purpose is to determine the percentage of investments in these companies, address potential environmental impacts associated with these investments. The EU Pesticides Database allows users to search for information on active substances used in plant protection products.
