The actions of business enterprises can affect people’s enjoyment of their human rights either positively or negatively. Human rights policies in line with internationally recognised standards provide a ground for companies to define their commitment.
Regulatory Definition
"Human rights policy" means a policy commitment approved at the board level on human rights that the economic activities of the investee company shall be in line with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights
